Today – Day TWO

SP_10094Another busy day in Malmo with even courts in action at each of two clubs all day, but at the end we know the quarter-finalists in most, and the semi-finalists in some of the events.

SP_10093It’s still tricky to come up with an overview with so many matches and events taking place at the same time, but there were certainly some significant upsets today – most notable the defeat of the Men’s O35 top seed Rene Mijs in a noisy five-game quarter-final with France’s Jerome Serusier (full details on the Reports page)

There were other top seeds beaten too, although Mark Taylor‘s win over Sergio Orduna in the M50 and victories by Barbara Sanderson and Norma Fulling over top seed Joan Witton in the W70 round robin were perhaps less seismic.

For now, here’s a list of today’s upset winners, plus today’s reports and updated, and for tomorrow we’ll start the day with an overview of what’s going on where !
